Madison Company's TL Series Tape Level indicators provide simple and economical liquid level indication where no electrical power is available. With lengths up to 6 feet it is designed for use in remote and mobile storage tanks and employs a magnetic float and standard tape measure blade sealed in a liquid tight tube so it does not come in contact with the fluid.

Available in 316 stainless steel, brass and polypropylene with a variety of standard and custom floats and mounts, the TL indicators are ideal for marine applications, industrial fire extinguishers, chemical drums and underground and remote liquid storage.

Principle of Operation: The retractable steel tape magnetically latches to the level position of the magnetic float. Only the stem and float come in contact with the liquid so the tape blade is always clean and readable. Tank level is determined by sliding the tape out of the stem tube and reading the aligning graduation mark on the tape when the magnetic interlock is felt.
